Kathryn Tomko Dennler and Brianna Garneau, researchers at York University, published a report on November 10, 2022 about the removals/deportation process in Canada for people with a refused refugee claim. Romero House was proud to act a community partner in this report, which was funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
On Sunday, October 16, 2022 the Romero House community was running and walking to raise money for the important work of welcoming refugees. The Toronto Waterfront Marathon is a beloved event bringing together more than 50 people from the Romero House community.
