The spirit of volunteerism
is at the heart of Romero House. We depend on the generosity of our neighbours and other volunteers to sustain our work. There are many volunteer opportunities that allow you to bring your gifts to participate in welcoming refugees.
At this time, Romero House is looking for volunteer receptionists. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English, ability to use technology and daytime availability (one half-day per week). If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Romero House is not accepting other volunteer applications at this time. Please check back with us in early October 2022.
Are you willing to host a refugee family in your home?
The Toronto shelter system is under significant pressure as the physical distancing requirements of COVID-19 have limited capacity. To make sure that the refugee families showing up at our centre have a safe place to stay, we are looking for community hosts to temporarily host families until a more permanent space is found. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a community host, please fill out and send this application form to email@example.com
